Mrs. Chetty

22 years teaching economics in Johannesburg

  • 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
  • Rosewood High School
  • 2005 to 2023
  • English
I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 18 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I ran the homework club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Mrs. Chetty

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Chetty: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
