I taught economics at Khon Kaen Girls' School in Khon Kaen from 1984 to 1999. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. Over the years I had 720 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
