For 23 years I was the history teacher at Grand Rapids Primary School. I taught Grade 6 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 1,270 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mrs. Carter
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Carter: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
