Mrs. Berhe
Social studies and Spanish teacher, Jimma
- 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Jimma Middle School
- Since 2003
- English, Amharic
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 23 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mrs. Berhe
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Berhe: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
