I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 23 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 1,360 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mrs. Benedetti
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Benedetti: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
