Mrs. Barnes
13 years teaching art in Winston-Salem

I taught art at Winston-Salem Girls' School in Winston-Salem from 2010 to 2024. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

You taught me art in 2019 at Winston-Salem Girls' School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

I'm a social worker now and I honestly think it started in your classroom. Greetings from Surat.
