For 41 years I have been the social studies teacher at Valley View Public School. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,600 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Avila: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
