For 45 years I have been the design and technology teacher at Istanbul Technical College. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Avcı: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
