I taught history at Bamboo Technical College in London from 1983 to 2001. Most days I taught Year 10, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 1,080 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mrs. Austin
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
