I taught English literature and art at St. Joseph's Technical College, São Paulo. I never turned anyone away.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I never turned anyone away.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mrs. Amaral
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
