Mrs. Akter
Retired social studies teacher from Westbrook Grammar School
- 🇧🇩 Gazipur, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Westbrook Grammar School
- 1983 to 2001
- English, Bengali
I taught social studies at Westbrook Grammar School in Gazipur from 1983 to 2001. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 900 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mrs. Akter
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Akter: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
