37 years teaching history in Bronx

For 14 years I have been the history teacher at Bronx Middle School. I teach primary school children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Zidan
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mr. Zidan: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
