Mr. Yilma
Mathematics and Spanish teacher, Gondar
- 🇪🇹 Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Gondar Academy
- 2009 to 2025
- English, Amharic
Gondar Academy was my second home. I taught mathematics there from 2009 to 2025, mostly Grade 6.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Mr. Yilma: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me mathematics in 2012 at Gondar Academy. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
