Mr. Yassin
French teacher at Ashford Public School, Since 2000

I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 26 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 1,560 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

If you were in my the final-year class class, you probably remember the rainy sports day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Yassin: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me French in 2025 at Ashford Public School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam

You taught me French in 2016 at Ashford Public School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
