Mr. Yapa
Biology and Spanish teacher, Galle
- 🇱🇰 Galle, Southern, Sri Lanka
- Galle Girls' School
- 2003 to 2018
- English, Sinhala, French
For 15 years I was the biology teacher at Galle Girls' School. I taught Grade 6 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 810 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Yapa
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mr. Yapa: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me biology in 2023 at Galle Girls' School. I still remember the last day before the summer holidays
