Mr. Yang
Home economics and art teacher, Detroit
- 🇺🇸 Detroit, Michigan, United States
- 2005 to 2024
- English, Mandarin
I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 19 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I ran the school newspaper after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I fix old bicycles.
More about Mr. Yang
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Yang: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
