Mr. Yakubu
French and physics teacher, Ibadan
- 🇳🇬 Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria
- Ibadan Primary School
- Since 1988
- English, Yoruba
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 38 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Yakubu
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mr. Yakubu: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
