Mr. Xu
Social studies teacher at San Diego Boys' School, 2000 to 2011
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- San Diego Boys' School
- 2000 to 2011
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and eleven years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I'm always reading two books at once. Inside it, I never turned anyone away.
More about Mr. Xu
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Xu: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

I failed social studies twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you. Greetings from Nice.

I was in your teenagers class in 2001. You believed I could do it before I did

You taught me social studies in 2006 at San Diego Boys' School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Truly.

You taught me social studies in 2020 at San Diego Boys' School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on
