Mr. Woo

Chemistry and computer science teacher, Los Angeles

  • 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
  • Kilimanjaro Girls' School
  • Since 1983
  • English, Korean
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 43 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I've had 2,280 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I'm still learning every day.

More about Mr. Woo

Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mr. Woo: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me chemistry in 1988 at Kilimanjaro Girls' School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam
