I taught accounting at Glasgow Academy in Glasgow from 1983 to 2002. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
