I taught design and technology at Silverlake Technical College in Accra from 2014 to 2022. Most days I taught Grade 4, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Mr. Wiredu
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
