Mr. Winata
Home economics and accounting teacher, Bandung
- 🇮🇩 Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
- Bandung Technical College
- 1980 to 2004
- English, Indonesian
For 24 years I was the home economics teacher at Bandung Technical College. I taught Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I learned every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Winata
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Winata: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
