Mr. Wijesinghe
Religious studies and home economics teacher, Negombo
- 🇱🇰 Negombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Bamboo High School
- Since 1991
- English, Sinhala
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 35 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I never turn anyone away.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.

What gifts mean to Mr. Wijesinghe: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
