Mr. Whitmore
Computer science and music teacher, San Jose
- 🇺🇸 San Jose, California, United States
- San Jose Grammar School
- 1999 to 2014
- English
For 15 years I was the computer science teacher at San Jose Grammar School. I taught teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Whitmore
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Whitmore: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
