Mr. Wekesa
Home economics and French teacher, Nairobi
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Silverlake High School
- Since 1979
- English, Swahili
For 47 years I have been the home economics teacher at Silverlake High School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.

What gifts mean to Mr. Wekesa: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
