I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 30 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 750 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Mr. Washington
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Washington: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

you taught me English literature in 2002 at Fairview Technical College. I still remember that terrible school play. Thank you again.
