I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 16 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I'm always reading two books at once. Inside it, I never turn anyone away.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Walker
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Walker: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
