For 39 years I have been the French teacher at Hope Girls' School. I teach Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 980 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mr. Walia
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Mr. Walia: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
