I teach English literature at Riverside Middle School in Winston-Salem since 2013. Most days I teach Year 7, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 270 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Vargas
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
