I taught early years at Pioneer Secondary School in Mumbai from 1991 to 2018. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mr. Varadarajan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Varadarajan: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

My kids ask me about my favorite teacher, and it's always you. Greetings from Salvador.
