I teach environmental science and agriculture at Our Lady of Peace Public School, Haarlem. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 730 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Mr. Van Vliet
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Van Vliet: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
