Mr. Van Leeuwen
Religious studies and chemistry teacher, Utrecht
- š³š± Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands
- Lincoln Middle School
- Since 1995
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 31 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I never raise my voice.
More about Mr. Van Leeuwen
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Van Leeuwen: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me religious studies in 2005 at Lincoln Middle School. I still remember that terrible school play. Thank you again.
