Mr. Van der Merwe
Retired biology teacher from Sakura Grammar School
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Sakura Grammar School
- 1985 to 1998
- English, Afrikaans
I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 13 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 330 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Van der Merwe
If you were in my the youngest children class, you probably remember the long bus ride home.
What gifts mean to Mr. Van der Merwe: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
