Mr. Urassa
30 years teaching home economics in Kinondoni
- 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Kinondoni Academy
- Since 2014
- English, Swahili
For twelve years I have been the home economics teacher at Kinondoni Academy. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mr. Urassa
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Urassa: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I failed home economics twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you. Greetings from Cali.

You taught me home economics in 2014 at Kinondoni Academy. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand

you taught me home economics in 2019 at Kinondoni Academy. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
