Mr. Torres
Taught home economics at Westbrook Middle School
- 🇵🇭 Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Westbrook Middle School
- 1990 to 2020
- English, Filipino
For 30 years I was the home economics teacher at Westbrook Middle School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 1,110 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Mr. Torres: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
