Mr. Tijani
36 years teaching special education in Awka
- 🇳🇬 Awka, Anambra, Nigeria
- Awka Secondary School
- Since 2015
- English, Yoruba, Spanish
For eleven years I have been the special education teacher at Awka Secondary School. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Tijani
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Tijani: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

you taught me special education in 2015 at Awka Secondary School. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

You taught me special education in 2021 at Awka Secondary School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
