I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 25 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 500 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Thompson
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Thompson: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
