I taught home economics at Dar es Salaam Public School in Dar es Salaam from 1978 to 2013. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
