I teach English literature and French at Valley View Primary School, Istanbul. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

What gifts mean to Mr. Taş: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
