Mr. Tanaka

Retired special education teacher from Lincoln Middle School

  • 🇯🇵 Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan
  • 1982 to 1998
  • Japanese
Lincoln Middle School was my second home. I taught special education there from 1982 to 1998, mostly first-year students. I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

More about Mr. Tanaka

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Tanaka: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
