Mr. Stephens
23 years teaching English literature in Los Angeles
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- 1981 to 2015
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 34 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mr. Stephens
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me English literature in 2002 at Los Angeles Secondary School. I still remember the long bus ride home. Greetings from Heliopolis.
