I taught economics at Dar es Salaam Public School in Dar es Salaam from 2013 to 2024. Most days I taught first-year students, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
