I taught English literature and physics at Beacon Middle School, Birmingham. I answered every email, even at midnight.
I ran the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.

You taught me English literature in 1998 at Beacon Middle School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Truly.
