For 19 years I have been the economics teacher at Lakeview Girls' School. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 700 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Şimşek
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mr. Şimşek: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
