I taught physical education and chemistry at Summit Public School, Bakersfield. I played music while people worked.
Over the years I had 990 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Sims
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Sims: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
