For 33 years I have been the home economics teacher at Jacaranda High School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, my door is open at lunch.

What gifts mean to Mr. Simiyu: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
