For eleven years I was the biology teacher at Negombo Grammar School. I taught Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I watch every football match going. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Mr. Silva: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
