I taught Spanish at Atlas High School in Yogyakarta from 2018 to 2025. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 220 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Siahaan
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mr. Siahaan: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
