Mr. Shiferaw

34 years teaching social studies in Jimma

  • 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
  • Jimma High School
  • 1997 to 2021
  • English
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 24 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I ran the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I run most mornings. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Mr. Shiferaw

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
