I taught statistics at Elmwood Grammar School in Peshawar from 1980 to 2004. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
